When the day was rainy day,
He used to enter home demanding for pakodas from my mumma.
Sometimes I miss that aroma.
Sometimes I look at the sky.
Sometimes I feel like cry.
When the day was everyday,
My kin's home used to be like restaurant of his favourite one.
My pressence there used to make him feel like encroachment of his possessed one's.
Sometimes I miss that animosty.
Sometimes I look at the sky.
Sometimes I feel like cry.
When the day was basant day,
He used to wake up early along with younger one.
Marching upstairs with plans in the head many ton.
Enthused with searching taste of dishes cooked for many nights.
While preparing kites 4 there forthcomming flights.
But like most of his plans, these 2 were drenched like his kites in the dew.
And rest of the day was catch and fly game.
Sometimes I miss those games.
Sometimes I look at the sky.
Sometimes I feel like cry.
When the day was movie day,
Whole atmosphere was thrilled by his words picturising hero and his deeds b4 the movie.
By the time we used to get drowsy, but thirsty eyes looking 4 some wonder atleast b4 the ending, were still unwinked fore the TV.
Sometimes I miss those movies.
Sometimes I look at the sky.
Sometimes I feel like cry.
When the day was naming the day,
He used to give me some new techy names.
The war used to continue for many days as I was reluctant to accept rather
As the day came all rebels were crushed and I was ready 2 accept the defeat rather
He used to invent a new name,
And the war continued again leading 2 an unending game.
Sometimes I miss those names.
Sometimes I look at the sky.
Sometimes I feel like cry.
When the day was last day,
My family told me, he was sleeping like everyday.
I didnt dare to see him 4 the last time.
I didnt cry 4 him at that time
Many days have gone after that day but,
Sometimes I miss those smiles.
Sometimes I miss those talks.
Sometimes I miss those plans.
Sometimes I miss those days.
Sometimes I miss that elderly love.
Sometimes I miss my bro.
Sometimes I look at the sky.
Sometimes I feel like cry.
This poem is written by my friend 'Palwinder' in memory of her brother 'Shanty'.
